Tweet Tweet

Today, I tweeted. I know that Twitter is an old thing for most of the people I know, but it's brand new to me. I'm guessing that by the time I really get into it, it will be on it's way out. We'll see.

I've also decided that I'm going to try to do some kind of technological new thing every month. I don't feel any need to be on the cutting edge of technology--honestly, I couldn't be if I tried--but I can see how easy it would be to be left behind if I don't at least try to keep up.

I remember how nervous it made my dad when I tried to teach him how to use the word processor a few years before he died. He'd never used a computer in his life, and while he wanted to learn, it was just too overwhelming for him at 84. There are times when I feel that way about new technology, but the good news is that I have plenty of tech-savvy friends and relatives and a kind of hesitant desire to learn. Today I tweet; tomorrow? Who knows!
