CPR

Today, I signed up for my October new thing: CPR and First Aid class. I have to take this one credit class to be eligible to lead my study abroad trip next summer. I've led other trips, but this is a relatively new requirement. For me, it's a new thing, for sure. The class will be held on two consecutive Fridays, from 1:30 to 4:30. It'll be fast. I just hope I never, ever have to use the skills I learn in the class. Study abroad is wild enough without adding heart-stopping drama.

September's new thing is still up in the air. There's a little Holocaust museum here in town that I'd like to take my students to sometime, so I think I'll check that out. My new thing naysayers will say this doesn't count, since I've been to many Holocaust museums (I've been to Auschwitz twice, for heaven's sake). Perhaps they're right. I guess I still have several days to figure this out.
