Hour eleven in the air. I'm on my third in-flight film (watched three TV episodes, too). I've flown over the North Pole and I'm on my way over Russia. Sometime around 2:20 am home time, I'll land in Shanghai. A couple of hours later, I'll land in Xi'an. Right now, I'm just sitting around in my compression stockings, sipping red wine, and watching Gulliver's Travels with Mandarin subtitles. I've been getting up once an hour to walk around the plane (I have a little blood mutation that can cause clots, so walking is compulsory). The flight has been great so far. I have a comfy aisle seat next to a gentleman who has been asleep almost the entire way. I have my personal movie screen, my books on iPad, and lots of pillows and blankets. I could do without the kicking kid behind me, but he's not an enthusiastic kicker, so it's okay. I still can't quite believe that I'm going to China. Given that I'll get there way, way past my bedtime, I'm guessing it will feel like a dream for a while.
